Berthillon

The Berthillon probaby has the best ice cream in Paris, I say probably, because I haven’t tried them all. But, if you judge by the amount of restaurants that proudly admit to carrying Berthillon ice cream, it is the best. This is the kind of ice cream that if they sold it in the stores you would be eating it using the lid as a spoon on the way home, not waiting for an actual spoon. You can find Berthillon on the Île St. Louis, one of the two islands in the Seine. Île St. Louis hosts some of the most expensive real estate in Paris, so you know the ice cream has to be good in order to pay that rent.
